PRODUCTION/POST PRODUCTION

After 16 years of dedicated service in everything from Broadcast to Corporate environments, I have obtained a vast degree of technical expertise in many facets of both production and post-production.

Over the years, my responsibilities embraced studio & field camera, studio & field recording, live-to-air, film editing, post-production editing, television graphics, local television, live national broadcasts, corporate multi-media production and educational videos.

What I really like to look back on, though, is the times when creating visually stimulating educational video drew upon my desire to communicate through story telling.

• CBC National Headquarters ◦Early in my career this was a real adventure, participating in the production of the shows I enjoyed as I grew up.
• CTV National News ◦Pretty typical news feed and play duties
• CITY-TV, Toronto ◦Back when CITY-TV was young and hip, this was the place to be working on ground-breaking shows such as The New Music, The Shulman Files, City Lights with Brian Linehan and CITY's unique brand of newscasting.
• Seneca College, Media Productions ◦We produced a long list of educational video series on just about any topic you can imagine. One day we'd be on the road with our portable equipment shooting stock footage or interviews, the next we'd be in the edit suite putting together original programming and the next we'd be on-location or in the studio with actors dramatizing a teaching point.
• Sears Canada Corporate Communications ◦Similar to my role at Seneca College, we were producing training, product knowledge and corporate message videos from shooting through to editing the final product.
• The Presbyterian Church in Canada ◦Although my main role was web communications, video productions did play an important role here from time to time also.
